Acceptable Use Policy
What you can't build, host or send on EzyStudio, and how we handle abuse and copyright reports.
DRAFT: not legal advice; to be reviewed by a lawyer before launch. Text in highlighted square brackets, like [Registered address], is a placeholder still to be filled in.

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses EzyStudio, including clients of our partner agencies, App Store developers, and everything you build, host, install or send with EzyStudio: your sites, apps, AI output, emails and App Store listings.
If you’re not sure whether something is allowed, ask us at support@ezystudio.com before you build it.
1. Illegal and harmful content
Don’t use EzyStudio to create, host, sell or send anything that:
- is illegal where it is offered, or helps someone break the law;
- sexually exploits or endangers children, in any form. We report it to the authorities;
- promotes terrorism or violent extremism, or threatens or incites violence;
- harasses, bullies, threatens or doxxes anyone, or publishes someone’s private information without their permission;
- promotes hatred against people because of who they are;
- is sexually explicit, unless it is lawful, clearly marked, limited to adults and allowed by our written approval;
- encourages self-harm or suicide;
- infringes someone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
2. Fraud and deception
Don’t:
- run phishing pages, or imitate another business, brand, person or government body to mislead people;
- sell counterfeit goods, fake reviews, fake documents or fake followers;
- run scams, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, or misleading offers;
- collect passwords, card details or other sensitive data without a clear, lawful reason and the person’s knowledge;
- present AI output as written by a real person or professional when it is not, in a way that misleads people;
- sell regulated goods or services (for example weapons, drugs, gambling, financial or health services) without the licences and age checks the law requires.
3. Security and abuse of the platform
Don’t:
- attack, probe, scan or test the security of EzyStudio, other customers or anyone else, except under our responsible-disclosure rules on the Security page;
- upload or spread malware, or use a site, build or editor workspace to attack other systems;
- try to reach other customers’ data, workspaces, sites or databases, or get around isolation, sign-in, permissions, rate limits or plan limits;
- run cryptocurrency mining, proxies, VPNs, bots, scrapers or other workloads unrelated to building and running your site, in editor workspaces, builds or sites;
- use EzyStudio as general file storage, a file-sharing service or a content delivery network for content not part of your site;
- put so much load on shared resources that it harms other customers;
- reverse engineer EzyStudio, except where the law allows it;
- share accounts, or resell or sublicense access to EzyStudio except through the partner programme.
4. Email and messaging
Emails your sites send through EzyStudio must be wanted and lawful:
- no spam or unsolicited bulk mail; follow anti-spam laws such as CAN-SPAM, the EU ePrivacy rules and CASL;
- don’t send from addresses or domains you don’t control, or hide who you are;
- respect unsubscribes, bounces and complaints. We may block delivery to addresses that bounced, complained or unsubscribed, and limit sending if your complaint rate is high.
5. Your users and their data
If your site or app collects personal data, you must tell people what you collect and why (a privacy notice), have a lawful basis, keep it only as long as you need, protect it, and answer their requests. Keep secrets and keys in the Secrets tab, not in your code. Don’t collect special categories of data (such as health data) unless you are allowed to and handle it with the extra care the law requires. See the Data Processing Addendum.
6. Copyright and trademark complaints
We respect intellectual property and expect our customers to do the same.
To report content on EzyStudio that infringes your rights, send a notice to our designated agent, [Copyright agent name], at [copyright contact email] or [Registered address], with:
- your name, address, phone number and email;
- the work or trademark you say is infringed;
- the exact address (URL) of the material;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner;
- your physical or electronic signature.
We may remove or disable the material, tell the site’s owner and pass on your notice.
Counter-notice. If your material was removed and you believe it was a mistake or you have the right to use it, send a counter-notice to the same address with your contact details, the material removed and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake, consent to the jurisdiction of the courts at your address (or [Courts / jurisdiction] if you are outside the United States), and your signature. We may restore the material after 10 business days unless the complainant tells us they have started court action.
Repeat infringers. We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe, where appropriate.
[Lawyer to confirm: register the designated agent with the US Copyright Office if the DMCA safe harbour is relied on.]
7. Reporting abuse
Report a site, app or email that breaks this policy to [abuse contact email]. Include the address of the site or a copy of the email and what is wrong. We may share your report with the site’s owner, without your contact details unless you agree or the law requires.
8. What we may do
We investigate reports and may, at our discretion and without liability to you:
- ask you to change or remove content;
- remove content, take a site or app offline, or block a domain;
- limit sending, building, publishing or other features;
- remove an app from the App Store;
- suspend or close the workspace, account, developer organisation or partner studio involved;
- keep records and report to the authorities.
We usually tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. We act straight away, without notice, where the problem is serious, illegal, harms other people or EzyStudio, or where telling you could make it worse. Breaking this policy is a breach of the Terms of Service. If you are a client of a partner agency, we may also tell the agency.
We don’t review everything on EzyStudio and are not responsible for content we haven’t reviewed. Not acting on one breach doesn’t mean we allow it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as new risks appear. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version.
