Terms of Service
The agreement for using EzyStudio: accounts, plans, your content, AI, billing, liability and disputes.
DRAFT: not legal advice; to be reviewed by a lawyer before launch. Text in highlighted square brackets, like [Registered address], is a placeholder still to be filled in.

These terms are the agreement between you and EzyLab, LLC, a company registered in [Country of registration] under number [Company registration number], with its registered office at [Registered address] (“EzyStudio”, “we”, “us”). They cover everything you use at ezystudio.com and its subdomains: the dashboard, the AI editor, hosting of your sites and apps, Site Databases, the App Store, “Hire an expert”, the ezy command line, our APIs and any studio dashboard run by one of our partner agencies.
Please read them. By creating an account, clicking a button that says you agree, or using EzyStudio, you accept these terms. If you accept them for a business, you confirm you can bind that business, and “you” means the business.
1. The short version
- You own what you build. We host it and keep it running for the price of your plan.
- You bring your own AI plan (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini…). EzyStudio charges $0 for AI and never sells you credits. Your AI provider’s own terms apply to your AI use.
- Website and App plans are flat. Business is flat up to generous limits, then published usage rates. Partner plans pay published overage past their pool. Nothing is billed for usage during a free trial.
- AI can be wrong. Check what it builds before you publish it.
- Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. When a plan ends, your sites stay up for 3 days, then go offline. Everything is deleted 30 days after the plan ends unless you choose a plan again.
- Plan payments (monthly, yearly or lifetime) can be refunded within 14 days of paying, if you haven’t used the plan yet: nothing published and no domain connected. Apps and packs can be refunded within 14 days of payment. See the Refund Policy.
- Prices don’t include taxes. You pay any taxes that apply.
- Don’t use EzyStudio for anything illegal or harmful. The Acceptable Use Policy has the details.
- Our total liability is limited (section 18).
This summary helps you find your way. The full terms below are what count.
2. Other documents that are part of these terms
These documents form part of your agreement with us:
- the Acceptable Use Policy;
- the Refund Policy;
- the Data Processing Addendum, when your sites or apps hold personal data of other people;
- the Developer Agreement, if you join the developer programme;
- the Partner Agreement, if you join the partner (agency) programme;
- any order form or plan description you accept in the product.
The Privacy Policy, Cookie Notice and Security page explain how we handle data; they are information, not contract terms. If two documents disagree, the more specific one wins for its subject (for example, the Developer Agreement wins on payouts).
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and able to enter a binding contract. You confirm this when you sign up, and we record when you agreed to these terms and which version. EzyStudio is built for businesses and people running a business or project, not for children.
- Give us true, current details and keep them up to date, including a working email address. We send important notices there.
- Keep your password and sign-in codes private. You are responsible for everything done through your account, and for the people you invite to your workspace. Each login is for one person.
- A workspace belongs to its owners. Owners decide who else can use it, what roles they have and whether the workspace is deleted. If owners disagree, we may follow the instructions of the person who pays for the workspace, or suspend changes until they agree.
- Tell us straight away at [security contact email] if you think someone else has used your account.
If you signed up through an agency
Some agencies (our “partners”) resell EzyStudio under their own name and brand. If you use EzyStudio through a partner’s studio:
- your agreement for the service, its price, billing, refunds and support is with that partner, not with us;
- the partner can see and manage your workspace, sign in to it to help you, and suspend or delete it;
- the partner decides which data-rights requests to make for you, because it controls your data and we process it for the partner (see the Privacy Policy);
- you must still follow our Acceptable Use Policy, and we may act on it directly, including by suspending sites;
- if the partner closes its studio or stops working with us, you get 30 days’ notice by email and in your dashboard, with a way to export your sites and data. Your sites stay live during the notice, then go offline, and 30 days later your workspace and its data are deleted. We don’t move your workspace to EzyStudio.
We are not responsible for what a partner promises you, charges you or does with your workspace.
4. What EzyStudio provides
EzyStudio gives you a private, hosted editor where your own AI builds a website or app, a staging preview, one-click publishing, hosting, a database for apps (“Site Database”), a managed web address, custom domains, analytics, team access, the App Store and the other features shown for your plan.
- Plans. The features and limits of each plan (Website, App, Business, and the partner plans) are on the pricing page and in Plan and billing. Some limits are hard (the action is blocked until you upgrade) and some are soft (we warn you). What happens past a limit depends on the plan, as section 11 says: Website and App never bill for usage, Business bills published usage rates past its limits, and partner plans pay published overage past their pool.
- Changes to the service. We improve EzyStudio all the time, so features may change. If we remove a core feature of a plan you are on, we will tell you at least 30 days before, except where we must act sooner for security or legal reasons.
- Managed addresses. A web address we give you on one of our domains (for example a subdomain) stays ours. It works while your site exists and may be released when the site is deleted. We may change it if we must, with notice.
- Custom domains. You may connect domains you own or control. Your contract with your domain registrar is yours. You keep the domain’s DNS records correct; if they stop pointing to us, the domain stops working on EzyStudio.
- Support. We help by email and in the product during business hours. Unless a plan says otherwise, we don’t promise response times or an uptime level, and there are no service credits.
5. Bring your own AI
EzyStudio does not sell AI and charges $0 for it. You connect an AI plan you have with an AI provider (for example Anthropic’s Claude Code, OpenAI’s Codex or ChatGPT, or Google’s Gemini) and sign in to it inside your own editor workspace.
- Your provider, your contract. Your use of that AI is between you and the provider, under their terms, usage limits and prices. You pay them directly. You make sure your plan with them allows the way you use it.
- What goes to the provider. When you build, your prompts and the files your AI reads are sent to the provider you connected and handled under its terms and privacy policy. We don’t control what the provider does with them.
- Your sign-in stays in your workspace. You sign in on the provider’s own page. Your AI sign-in is kept inside your private editor workspace; EzyStudio does not read, copy or reuse it. You can sign out of your AI at any time.
- Outages and limits. If your provider is down, changes its product or limits your plan, building may pause. Your published sites keep running. These events are not our failure, and they don’t change what you owe us.
- Changes by providers. If a provider stops allowing use of its tool in hosted workspaces like ours, or changes it in a way that breaks it, we may change or remove that integration.
- Platform instructions. We give your AI instructions about how EzyStudio works (for example how to deploy and how the database works). These help it build for our platform; they are not a promise about what your AI will do.
6. AI output: check it before you publish
AI makes mistakes. Code, text, images, prices and other content created with your AI (“AI output”) may be wrong, incomplete, insecure, out of date, or similar to what others receive, and may include material that belongs to someone else.
- You are responsible for reviewing, testing and approving AI output before you publish it or rely on it, and for what your published site or app does.
- AI output is not legal, medical, financial, tax or other professional advice.
- The staging preview is there so you can check changes before they go live. Publishing is your decision.
- As between you and us, you own the AI output you create, to the extent the law gives it any owner. We don’t promise that it can be protected by copyright or that it is unique.
7. Your content
“Your content” means everything you or your team put into EzyStudio or create with it: code, sites, apps, text, images, files, settings, domains, and the data in your Site Databases.
- You own your content. We claim no ownership of it.
- Your licence to us. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, build, deploy, transmit, display, back up, scan and otherwise process your content, only as needed to provide, secure and support EzyStudio, to follow the law, and to enforce these terms. The licence lasts while your content is on EzyStudio, plus the time needed to delete it from backups and logs. It covers our service providers who do this for us.
- No AI training. We don’t use your content, or the data of your sites’ users, to train AI models, and we don’t sell it.
- Your promises. You have all the rights you need in your content, and using it on EzyStudio doesn’t break any law or anyone else’s rights.
- Customer listing. We may name your business as an EzyStudio customer and show its logo. Write to support@ezystudio.com and we will stop. We will ask before we feature your site in a case study or advert.
- Feedback. If you send ideas or feedback, we may use them freely without owing you anything.
- Keep your own copies. We back up the platform (see Security), but you should keep copies of what matters to you. You can download your site’s code from the editor, export your Site Database from the Database tab, and download your account data from Settings, Privacy.
8. Your sites, your users
Your sites and apps are yours to run. That includes the people who visit them, sign up to them, buy from them or fill in their forms (“your users”).
- You are responsible for your relationship with your users: your own terms, privacy notice, cookie notice, refund policy, consumer law, accessibility, and any licence you need for your business.
- For your users’ personal data, you are the controller and we are your processor. The Data Processing Addendum applies and forms part of these terms.
- You keep your site’s secrets (API keys, payment keys) in the Secrets tab, not in your code.
- Payments your site takes from your users go through the payment account you connect. Your contract with that payment provider is yours.
- If one of your users complains to us about your site, we may pass the complaint to you and, where the law requires or the Acceptable Use Policy allows, act on it.
9. The App Store (for buyers)
The App Store lists apps and templates made by independent developers, and some made by us.
- Who is responsible. Each app is offered by its developer, who is responsible for it, its support and its description. We review apps before they are listed, but review doesn’t guarantee that an app is error-free, secure or right for you.
- Your licence. Installing an app gives you the right to use it on the site you install it on, for as long as your purchase is active, under any licence terms the listing shows.
- Which plans. Free apps install on any plan. Paid apps install on the App and Business plans, and paid website templates on the Website, App and Business plans.
- Monthly apps renew every month until you cancel. When you cancel, the app keeps working until the end of the month you paid for, then it is uninstalled. If a renewal can’t be charged, the app may be suspended until it is paid.
- One-time apps are paid once for the site they are installed on.
- Refunds. You can get a refund of an app’s latest payment within 14 days of paying; the app is then uninstalled (see the Refund Policy).
- Reviews. Only verified buyers can review an app. Reviews must be honest and follow the Acceptable Use Policy. Your first name, business name and city are shown with your review.
- Removal. If an app is removed from the App Store, we may stop offering updates. We will try to keep installed copies working, but we don’t promise to.
10. Hire an expert
“Hire an expert” lets you describe a project and get matched with partner agencies who build for clients.
- We share your contact details and project description with the partners we offer your request to. A partner who accepts your request receives them and handles them as its own business.
- Any project you agree with a partner is a contract between you and that partner. We are not a party to it, we don’t supervise the work, and we are not responsible for it, its price or its quality.
- We don’t promise how quickly, or whether, a partner will accept a request.
11. Fees, billing and automatic renewal
- Prices. Prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout, in the currency shown. No plan adds AI charges or credits.
- Usage past a limit. Website and App plans are flat and never add usage charges; past a limit, we ask you to upgrade. Business is flat up to its limits; past them, extra use (for example database activity, storage or extra custom domains) is billed monthly in arrears at the usage rates published on the pricing page when you buy, and shown in Plan and billing. Partner plans pay the published overage rates past their pool, as the Partner Agreement says. Nothing is billed for usage during a free trial.
- Taxes. Prices don’t include sales tax, VAT, GST or similar taxes. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase, except taxes on our income. If we start collecting tax where we must, we will show it at checkout and on your invoices.
- Automatic renewal. Monthly and yearly plans, monthly apps and packs renew automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly) for the same length, at the price then in effect, until you cancel. You authorise us and our payment provider, Stripe, to charge your saved card on each renewal date. You can see your next renewal date in Plan and billing.
- Cancelling. Cancel at any time in Plan and billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan and your sites stay as they are until the end of the period you paid for. Cancelling doesn’t give a refund except as the Refund Policy says.
- When a plan ends. When a plan ends without a new one (you cancelled, a payment failed, or it was refunded), your sites stay up for 3 more days. Then they go offline and visitors see a page saying the site is unavailable. We keep your workspace and its data for 30 days after the plan ends and email you before anything is deleted; if you choose a plan again in that time, your sites come back. After those 30 days your sites and their data are deleted.
- Changing plans. Upgrades start straight away; we charge the difference for the rest of the current period, with credit for the unused time of the old plan. Downgrades and switches between monthly and yearly start at the end of the current period. If you move to a plan with lower limits, anything above the new limits may be blocked.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails we tell you and may try again. If it is still unpaid 14 days after it was due, the plan ends, as described in “When a plan ends” above, unless you pay or choose a plan again.
- Lifetime plans in instalments. A lifetime plan can be paid at once or, where offered, in monthly instalments; paying in instalments costs more in total, as shown before you buy. The first instalment is charged when you buy and the rest monthly on your saved card. If an instalment can’t be charged, the plan ends straight away and the payments already made are not refunded. Only the first instalment can be refunded, under the Refund Policy. After the last instalment the plan is yours for life.
- Price changes. We may change prices. We will tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, and it applies from your next renewal after that notice. If you don’t want the new price, cancel before that renewal.
- Refunds. A plan payment can be refunded within 14 days of paying, only if the plan hasn’t been used yet (nothing published and no custom domain connected). Once a plan is used, it isn’t refunded. The Refund Policy has the details, including lifetime plans and instalments.
- Invoices are in Plan and billing. Keep your billing details correct.
- Disputed charges. If you think a charge is wrong, write to support@ezystudio.com within 60 days. If you open a chargeback for a charge you owe, we may suspend your workspace until it is resolved.
- Partner clients. If a partner bills you, the partner sets your prices, renewal terms and refunds.
12. Free trials
- Every EzyStudio plan is paid; there is no free plan. Monthly and yearly plans start with a 14-day free trial. You need a card on file to start it. Nothing is charged during the trial.
- During a trial you can build and preview, but nothing goes public: sites stay drafts on an EzyStudio address, and you can’t publish or connect your own domain. To go live earlier, activate your plan: the trial ends that day and the plan is charged then.
- If you don’t cancel, the plan starts and is charged on the day the trial ends. If you cancel during the trial, nothing is charged. The 14-day refund window in the Refund Policy starts on the day of your first payment.
- An agency’s trial is for looking around and setting up its brand: until the agency activates its plan it can’t add clients or client sites, sell plans, publish or connect domains.
- Lifetime plans have no trial. They start, and are charged, when you buy them.
13. Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In short: nothing illegal, harmful, deceptive or abusive, no attacks on EzyStudio or anyone else, no getting around plan limits or security, and no reselling EzyStudio except through the partner programme.
14. Suspension and termination
- By you. You can stop using EzyStudio at any time. Owners can delete a workspace, and you can delete your account, in Settings, Privacy. Deletion waits 14 days so you can change your mind (press “Keep my account” or “Keep this workspace”); during that time nothing renews. After that, what we delete and keep is described in the Privacy Policy.
- Suspension by us. We may suspend all or part of your access, a site, an app or a workspace:
- straight away, if we reasonably believe it is needed to stop illegal content, a security threat, fraud, abuse of other people, harm to EzyStudio or other customers, or to follow a court order or the law;
- after notice, if you don’t pay, or you breach these terms and don’t fix the breach within 7 days of our notice (or longer if we say so). While a workspace is suspended, its published sites are offline. A site we take offline stays offline until we bring it back, even if you publish again. We will tell you why, unless the law or a security reason stops us, and lift the suspension once the reason is gone. When we lift it, the sites that were online before come back.
- Termination by us. We may end your account or a workspace if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, if we must by law, or, for any other reason, by giving you at least 30 days’ notice. If we end a plan for a reason other than your breach, we refund the unused part of the plan period you paid for in advance, counted by day from when the plan ends.
- Inactive workspaces. We may close a workspace that has no plan and has had no sign-in and no change to its sites for 12 months. We email its owners at least 30 days before. To keep it, sign in and press “Keep this workspace” before that date.
- After termination. Your right to use EzyStudio ends. Download what you need before then. Sites are taken offline and deleted, Site Databases and editor copies are removed 30 days after their site is deleted, and we keep money records and other data the law requires, as the Privacy Policy describes. Sections that by their nature should continue (for example fees owed, licences needed for deletion, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and disputes) continue.
15. Third-party services
EzyStudio works with services run by others: your AI provider, Stripe for payments, GitHub if you connect a repository, domain registrars, and the services your own code calls. Their terms apply to your use of them. We are not responsible for them, and a change or outage on their side is not our breach.
16. Beta and preview features
We may offer features marked beta, preview, early access or similar. They may be incomplete, change or end at any time, and are provided as they are, without any promise. Don’t rely on them for anything critical.
17. Disclaimers
We work hard to keep EzyStudio safe and running. But except for the promises we make expressly in these terms, EzyStudio, the App Store, AI integrations and everything else are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties and conditions, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, accuracy, and that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure. We don’t guarantee results, traffic or sales from your site.
Some places don’t allow these exclusions. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights the law gives you that can’t be excluded.
18. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data, however caused, even if warned they were possible.
- Our total liability for all claims arising from or related to these terms or EzyStudio, in any 12-month period, is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us for EzyStudio in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim, and (b) US$100.
- These limits apply to every kind of claim, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or anything else.
- They don’t limit your duty to pay fees, your indemnity under section 19, or liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
19. Your indemnity
You will defend and indemnify EzyStudio, its affiliates and their people against claims, losses, fines and reasonable costs (including legal fees) brought by someone else that arise from: your content or AI output you publish; your sites, apps and their users; your breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy; your breach of law or of someone else’s rights; or your breach of your AI provider’s or another third party’s terms. We will tell you promptly about such a claim, let you control the defence, and help you reasonably at your cost. You won’t settle a claim that makes us admit fault or pay without our written consent.
20. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For a change that materially affects your rights, we will tell you by email or in the dashboard at least 30 days before it takes effect. Smaller changes (clearer wording, new features, legal requirements) may take effect when we post them. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version. If you keep using EzyStudio after a change takes effect, you accept it. If you don’t accept a change, stop using EzyStudio and cancel before it takes effect.
21. Disputes and governing law
- Talk to us first. Before starting any claim, write to [legal contact email] with what happened and what you want. We will both try in good faith to settle it within 30 days.
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of [Governing law], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
- Courts. The courts of [Courts / jurisdiction] have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either of us may ask any court for urgent relief to protect intellectual property or confidential information.
- Arbitration and class waiver. [Lawyer to decide: if EzyStudio contracts from the United States, replace the Courts bullet with individual binding arbitration under the rules of [arbitration body], seated in [city], a waiver of class and representative actions and of jury trial, a small-claims exception, and a 30-day opt-out by email.]
- Consumers. If you are a consumer, you keep any right the law gives you to bring a claim in the courts where you live, and any mandatory protection of the law of your country.
- Time limit. To the extent the law allows, a claim must be brought within one year after the cause of action arose.
22. General
- Copyright complaints. We respond to notices of copyright infringement as set out in the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Export and sanctions. You may not use EzyStudio if you are in, or are a person targeted by, a country or list under trade sanctions that apply to us, or to export anything in breach of export laws.
- Force majeure. Neither of us is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, war, strikes, outages of the internet, power, hosting, payment or AI providers, or acts of government. This doesn’t excuse paying fees.
- Assignment. You may not transfer these terms without our written consent. We may transfer them to an affiliate or in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to you.
- Independent parties. Nothing in these terms makes us partners, employees or agents of each other.
- Entire agreement. These terms and the documents in section 2 are the whole agreement about EzyStudio and replace earlier discussions. Terms on your purchase orders don’t apply.
- Severability and waiver. If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term now doesn’t mean we give up the right to later.
- Notices. We send notices to your account email or in the dashboard. You send notices to [legal contact email] or by post to [Registered address].
- Language. These terms are written in English. If we offer a translation, the English version applies where they differ.
