Referral Programme Terms
For anyone sharing a referral link: what referred customers get, what you earn, tiers, payouts and the rules.
DRAFT: not legal advice; to be reviewed by a lawyer before launch. Text in highlighted square brackets, like [Registered address], is a placeholder still to be filled in.

These terms are between EzyLab, LLC (“EzyStudio”, “we”) and anyone who shares an EzyStudio referral link or code (“you”, the “referrer”). They add to our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, which also apply. Agencies are also covered by the Partner Agreement; on the referral programme, these terms win.
You accept them when you first share your link or code, or when you set up a payout account for referral earnings, whichever comes first.
1. The short version
- Anyone with an EzyStudio account can join: customers, freelance experts and agencies.
- Share your link or code. The people you refer get a welcome perk on their first plan payment: 20% off on a monthly or yearly plan, or 5% off a lifetime plan.
- You earn your tier’s share of what they pay EzyStudio for their plan and add-ons, for as long as they keep paying.
- New earnings wait 30 days before they can be paid out. Refunds and chargebacks are taken back, and a card dispute we win gives the earning back.
- We check new referrals for unusual activity. A flagged referral is held until we have looked at it.
- Self-referral, spam and bidding on our brand are not allowed.
- Points move you up the tiers. Moving up is immediate; moving down only happens after a grace quarter.
- We pay monthly by Wise, PayPal or bank transfer, whichever you choose, once your ready balance is at least $50. Smaller amounts carry over to the next month. You handle your own taxes.
2. Who can join
- Any EzyStudio customer, approved freelance expert or agency with an account in good standing can take part. You get your own referral link and code in your dashboard.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and must not be subject to sanctions.
- To be paid, you need a payout account in a country our payment provider supports (see section 9).
- Our own staff can share links but don’t earn from them.
3. How links and codes work
- Your link. Your link looks like
ezystudio.com/?ref=YOURCODE. When someone opens it, we remember your code in a first-party cookie for 60 days. - First touch wins. If a person opened several referral links, the first one they opened in those 60 days counts. A link opened later doesn’t replace it.
- Typed codes. A customer can also type your code at checkout. If they arrived through no link, the typed code counts.
- One referrer per customer. Once a customer is linked to a referrer, that stays for the account. It can’t be moved to someone else later.
- No stacking. A referral perk doesn’t add to other discounts, coupons or offers. If more than one could apply, the customer gets the best one, and only one.
- Cookies. If a person blocks or clears cookies, we may not see your link. We can’t pay for referrals we couldn’t record.
4. What the person you refer gets
- A welcome perk on the first payment for their first EzyStudio plan: 20% off the first payment of a monthly or yearly plan, or 5% off a lifetime plan. The perk applies to the first payment only, not to renewals. The current perk is also shown on the Partners page and in your dashboard.
- The perk applies only to a customer’s first plan. Customers who already paid us before, and their other workspaces, don’t get it again.
- We may change the perk for new referrals at any time. A perk already applied at checkout stays.
5. What you earn
- Your share. You earn your tier’s referral percentage of each payment the referred customer makes to EzyStudio for their plan and their add-ons, for as long as they keep paying for EzyStudio. There is no end date: if they cancel, you stop earning, and if they come back on the same account, you earn again. A lifetime plan is different: it earns a one-time percentage of its price, set for each tier, instead of the ongoing share. The current percentages for each tier are in your dashboard, and on the Partners page.
- What counts. Only payments to EzyStudio for plans and add-on packs, after any discount and without taxes.
- What doesn’t count. App Store purchases, usage or overage charges, domains and anything bought from a third party. Payments a client makes to an agency don’t count either. An agency you referred does earn you your share on its own partner plan.
- Which tier applies. Each payment earns at the tier you are on when the payment is made.
- Refunds and chargebacks. If a payment is refunded or charged back, the earning on it is taken back. If it was already paid out, we take it from your next earnings. If the customer’s bank later decides a card dispute in our favour, the earning comes back to you.
- Holding period. Each new earning waits 30 days before it becomes available, in case of a refund. Your dashboard shows the date each one becomes payable.
- Checks for unusual activity. We automatically check new referrals for signs of abuse, such as many sign-ups from one code or network in a short time, a sign-up from your own network, or a card or email domain shared with you or your other referrals. A flagged referral shows as “Being checked” in your dashboard and its earnings are held until our team has looked at it, usually within a few days. If it is fine, the earnings are released and follow the normal holding period. If it breaks section 6, the referral doesn’t count and nothing is earned from it.
6. The rules
You can’t earn from yourself or game the programme. In particular, you must not:
- refer yourself: your own accounts, workspaces or agency, or anyone using the same email, the same agency or the same payment card as you;
- bid on our brand: run paid search or social ads on “EzyStudio” or close misspellings, or use our name in domains, app names or social accounts;
- spam: send unsolicited messages, post your link where it isn’t welcome, or use bots, fake reviews or misleading claims;
- pay people to sign up: offer cash, gifts or a share of your earnings to make people join, beyond the official perk;
- pretend to be us: suggest you are EzyStudio or speak for us.
If we see abuse, we can ban your code, cancel referrals linked to it and withhold or take back earnings tied to the abuse. We may also close your participation, and serious cases can lead to action under the Terms of Service. We tell you why, unless the law or a fraud investigation stops us.
7. Tiers and points
- Tiers. The programme has tiers: Starter, Rising, Pro and Elite, plus Founding, which is by invitation only. Each tier sets your referral percentage and perks, such as a directory badge and, for experts on Pro and above, client leads we match to you.
- Points. You earn points for referred customers who pay, client leads you win and complete, client sites you publish, and reviews. The points for each are shown in your dashboard and on the Partners page. Points for a referral that is refunded or charged back are taken back.
- Nightly update. We recalculate points and tiers every night.
- Moving up happens as soon as you reach the next tier’s points, and the new percentage applies to payments from then on.
- Moving down only happens after a grace quarter: if your points fall below your tier, you keep it until the end of the next full calendar quarter. Your dashboard shows the date.
- We may adjust points that were earned against these rules, and we may change tier names, thresholds, percentages and perks under section 10.
8. Your earnings and statements
- Your dashboard shows your clicks, sign-ups, paying referrals, points and earnings, with each entry and its status.
- If you think an entry is wrong, tell us within 60 days of the payment it relates to. After that, the entry stands, unless the law says otherwise.
- If we hold or withhold your earnings, or pause or ban your code, you can ask us to look again within 60 days of the day we told you.
9. Payouts and taxes
- Payout account. We pay by Wise, PayPal or bank transfer, whichever you choose. You need an account in your name (or your business’s), and its details saved in your dashboard, before we can pay you.
- Checks before we pay. We review referrals, earnings and payouts before money leaves us, including your first payout and larger earnings, and we may hold a payment while we do. We don’t publish the exact limits, because that would help people get around them. After you change your payout details we ask for an emailed code, and your next payout waits 7 days. We may pause or ban a code when its activity suggests abuse; its unpaid earnings are then held until our review ends. If we find no breach of section 6, we release them. If a referral is rejected or refunded while a payout holding it is waiting, we cancel that payout, and what is left goes out on a later payout. When we hold or withhold your earnings for more than a routine check, we tell you why, unless the law or a fraud investigation stops us, and you can ask us to look again under section 8.
- When. We pay monthly, once your available balance is at least $50 (or the same amount in your payout currency). Smaller balances carry over to the next month.
- Currency and fees. We pay in [payout currency]. Your payment provider or bank may charge conversion or transfer fees.
- Set-off. We may take amounts you owe us, such as clawed-back earnings or unpaid fees, from your earnings.
- Taxes. You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn, and for any tax registration or invoicing the law asks of you. We may ask for tax details and may withhold tax where the law requires.
- Agencies receive referral earnings in the same agency earnings and payout account they use today.
10. Changes to the programme
- We may change these terms, the perk, tiers, percentages, points and the payout minimum. For changes that reduce what you earn, we give at least 30 days’ notice by email and in your dashboard.
- Changes don’t affect earnings you already made. A change to how long you earn from a referral, or to the percentages, applies to payments made after it takes effect.
- We may end the programme with 60 days’ notice. Earnings made before it ends are paid on the normal schedule.
11. Ending your participation
- You can stop at any time by no longer sharing your link, or by closing your account.
- We may end your participation with 30 days’ notice, or straight away for a breach of section 6, fraud, or if the law requires.
- If your account closes or your participation ends, available earnings over the payout minimum are paid on the next payout date. Earnings tied to abuse or fraud are not paid, as far as the law allows. Unpaid balances below the minimum after [12 months] of no activity may lapse.
12. General
- Independent parties. You are not our agent, employee or partner in law. You can’t make promises or accept obligations in our name.
- Liability. Sections 17 and 18 of the Terms of Service apply. This doesn’t limit our duty to pay earnings you are owed.
- Law and disputes. Sections 21 and 22 of the Terms of Service apply, including governing law [Governing law] and courts [Courts / jurisdiction].
- Contact. Referral programme: [partner contact email].
